#OOTD: My Hometown & What's Changed

Asalam Walikum, beautiful ladies!

It's been a while since I put pen to paper...or fingers to keyboard. I've been too jet-lagged and needed to adjust after a 7 hour plane ride with a 7 month old!

I'm so excited about my outfit as it's been so long since I've been able to wear warm jumpers and jackets! The Middle Eastern desert isn't exactly woolly friendly.

I'm oh-so-happy to be home! I missed London more than fish and chips! Once I touched down and took my first deep breath of fresh oxygen-packed air, it was clear that I had been gone for way too long!

No one in my family knew I was coming and they all got the shock of their life when I turned up on the doorstep at 7am- with a baby in tow!

After being away for some time and then returning to London, I noticed a few things:

I noticed that the trees in my garden had grown.
Some childhood friends are soon to get married, some have gotten married, and a few have had children!
I noticed that my local Tesco had added new sections and changed the layout.
My next door neighbour has had a new baby.
The characters in EastEnders have aged!
The old lady that used to walk to the bus stop every morning with a dozen bags full of junk every morning, muttering to herself, has disappeared...
The price of fuel has gone up-again!
Our cosy local village surgery has closed and, instead, there is now a medical centre/clinic.
There are more hijabis walking around.
Old Victorian architecture is so beautiful.
The greenery in the UK is stunning and breathtaking.
The air is clean, crisp and refreshing.
It feels amazing being under a warm duvet when it's cold and raining outside.
London is home.
